BQ partner with Sportradar for the 2024 NBL1 North Season

Basketball Queensland (BQ) has officially launched a partnership with Sportradar for the 2024 NBL1 North Season.

Sportradar is an industry leader for sports technology and their Synergy Coaching and Scouting software will be used by all teams across the NBL1 North for video capturing, coaching solutions and scouting tools. Sportradar currently works in similar fashion with partners and clients such as the NBA, elite Euroleague teams, premier international squads and top U.S. collegiate programs.

BQ General Manager of Basketball Operations, Todd Flahey, believes this partnership will provide our coaches with the ability to analyse the game at the highest level.

“The Sportradar Synergy software will allow our coaches the ability to analyse the game like a professional team with a range of scouting tools that can be used to break down opposition teams. I believe this will ultimately result in a higher level of competition across the North conference,” said Flahey.

Ben Turner, Sportradar's Head of Sports Content and Partnerships, APAC and Head of Global Basketball, is excited to be partnering with the NBL1 North competition:

“This partnership represents a game changing opportunity for basketball coaches in Australia, giving them access to the same technology used by NBA and NCAA coaches, as well as access to the unrivalled player recruitment and analysis content. Our cutting-edge technology has already been deployed in other top basketball leagues around the world, and I'm confident that it will help coaches here access deeper, more comprehensive insights, improve performance and expose Australian players to leagues globally,” said Turner.

The NBL1 North season will commence on Thursday 11th of April.
