The iCan Program is designed to facilitate training days and games for athletes with intellectual impairment. The program aligns with the Queensland department of education's calendar to host hub days at local associations across the state.

How does your school get involved?
The iCan Program hub days are designed to build basic skills for athletes and breakdown basketball concepts through fun training games. After the completion of the hub days, schools that participated are welcomed to a tournament day in Term 4 to showcase the skills and concepts they learnt.

Is iCan just for schools?
Yes, iCan is designed for special schools in Queensland. Contact us to find out more via community@basketballqld.net.au.
What does BQ provide as part of the iCan Program?
Basketball Queensland provide coaches which can deliver the sessions as well as any additional equipment required. At the iCan inter-school day at the end of the term all athletes receive a T-Shirt, Bottle and Basketball.
Is there a pathway for athletes with intellectual disabilities?
