Basketball Queensland is continually endeavouring to improve our programs and provide more opportunities for athletes.

As a result, the timeline and selection process for the Future Development Program (FDP) has changed in 2024.

The program duration has been extended to include both Term 2 and Term 3, allowing for further development of our athletes.

2024 FDP South Selection Process:

• Attendance and performance at FDP South Trials
• Association Nomination

2024 FDP North/Central Selection Process: 

• Attendance and performance at Next Gen Camp
• NQJBC / CQJBC Round 1
• Association Nomination

All final selections will be made by the FDP Selection Panel.

This year's FDP South Trials will be run at Logan Metro Sports & Events Centre and are as follows:

Girls:

• 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday 13th of March 2024
• 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday 3rd of April 2024

Boys:

• 9:00am to 4:00pm Tuesday 2nd of April 2024 (Session Times TBD)

It costs all athletes $30 to trial for the program.

FDP South trial registrations are now open for eligible athletes (those born in 2011/2012 who have been selected for a 2024 U14 representative team).
