Katie Deeble

Katie Deeble is an exceptionally talented player who spent the majority of the year at the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence.

Her athleticism, speed and ability to read the game earned her a starting place with Queensland’s Under 20 Women’s team, where she helped led the team to a Bronze medal at this year’s Australian Junior Championships.

Katie was then named in Australia’s Under 19 Gems team that represented Australia at the 2021 FIBA Under 19 Women’s World Cup. Her outstanding performances on the court helped the Gems bring home a silver medal.To top off a fantastic year, Katie also signed as an amateur contracted player with the Sydney Flames, with Shane Heal naming her a future star of the WNBL.Katie Deeble is a worthy recipient of the 2021 Female Player of the Year award.
