Monique Bobongie

Your 2023 Female Athlete of the Year is Monique Bobongie. Monique has had a great year both at the state and national level. Leading the Mackay Meteorettes to a Silver Medal at the Queensland State Championships, she continued her dominance on the court for Queensland North at U18 Nationals in April. After earning a scholarship with the Centre of Excellence, Monique had the opportunity to represent Australia at the FIBA Under 16 Asia Championships and the Under 17 Women’s World Cup. Monique’s efforts as an athlete on and off the court makes her a worthy recipient of the 2023 Female Athlete of the Year.
