60+ schools, 30+ officials to represent QLD at 2024 Australian School Championships

The 2024 Foot Locker Australian Schools Championships (ASC) tipped off today from the Gold Coast, promising to be the biggest ever with a record 216 teams and over 2,000 players taking to the courts.

Queensland is particularly well-represented this year, boasting a significant increase in participating schools. A total of 61 school teams from across the state will be competing in the Championship, U20, U17, and U15 divisions, all vying for a coveted National Championship title.

A strong contingent of 31 referees, attending from all over Queensland, will also be in attendance and officiating across all divisions.

The week-long event will see pool games from Monday to Wednesday, with finals and classification matches across Thursday and Friday.

Basketball Australia is running additional events, such as a Coaching Seminar with renowned Australian swimming coach Dean Boxall - read more here for details.
