Basketball Queensland transition Coach Education and Accreditation to etrainu platform
Basketball Queensland (BQ) has partnered with etrainu, a leading provider of online training solutions, to enhance coach development and accreditation processes across the state.
The move to etrainu has been made to align with Basketball Australia and provide our coaches with an easy-to-use, automated accreditation system.
Newly appointed Pathway Development Manager, Patrick McInerney, is excited to create more opportunities for coaches all over Queensland.
“BQ has worked hard to develop online resources for the education, development and accreditation of basketball coaches across the state," said McInerney.
"The etrainu platform provides Queensland basketball coaches with an engaging and easy-to-use suite of courses and content for our many thousands of committed coaches and volunteers.”
Below we have included everything you need to either transition to etrainu or start your coaching journey.
HOW TO LOG-IN
Scenario #1: Moving from OwnUrGoal to etrainu?
All coaches from OwnUrGoal have been manually imported into the etrainu platform.
- Click here to get to etrainu
- Under username enter your [firstname][lastname].BQLD (for example: JohnSmith.BQLD)
- Select “Forgot Password?” and you will be sent an email to reset your email and password.
Once you are logged in, go to “Skills Passport” and check if your accreditation is correct. If you have any issues or require assistance please contact Patrick McInerney via patrick.mcinerney@basketballqld.net.au and provide your full name, email and home association.
Scenario #2: Merge an existing etrainu account with your coaching information?
If you have an existing etrainu profile and want to merge your OwnUrGoal information over to your current profile please contact Kartik Deodhar via Kartik.deodhar@australia.basketball and provide your full name and email.
Scenario #3: Accredited coach without an OwnUrGoal account?
If you are an accredited coach in Queensland but didn’t have an OwnUrGoal account please contact Patrick McInerney via patrick.mcinerney@basketballqld.net.au and provide your full name, email, certificates and any additional information.
HOW TO GET STARTED
All BQ coaching resources that were previously available via OwnUrGoal are now available via the etrainu resources library under “BQLD Video Library”.
If you want to start your coaching journey and get accredited, sign-up for etrainu now and follow the below steps:
Become a Community Coach:
- Sign-Up to etrainu - click here
- Select “Training Library”
- Select “Basketball Australia Coaching”
- Select “Community Coach”
- Completed the course and requirements
Become a Club Coach:
Please note, prior to becoming a Club Coach you must complete the Community Coach Accreditations.
- Select “Training Library”
- Select “Basketball Australia Coaching”
- Select “Club Coach”
- Complete the course and theoretical requirements
- Book to attend a Club Course practical session
