2024/25 State Performance Program Trials
Basketball Queensland have opened registrations for the 2024/25 State Performance Program (SPP) trials.
SPP is designed to prepare and develop athletes in the Under 16 and Under 18 age groups to represent Queensland at the Australian National Championships. Former SPP athletes include Australian 3x3 player Meila Goodchild, Illawarra Hawks Sam Froling and newly signed NBL Next Star with the Tasmania JackJumpers Roman Siulepa.
The program is split into North QLD and South QLD groups and train regularly throughout the year.
How to be eligible...
In order to be eligible for SPP trials athletes must be registered members of an association affiliated to Basketball Queensland. Athletes must be born within the respective age range for the program and have played in the most recent top two divisions of Junior Representative competitions or State Championships.
To apply for an exemption, you will need to contact your current Association Director of Coaching who will then apply for your exemption. Not all exemptions will be approved and will be dealt with on a case by case basis with Associations.
